RJ45 Crimper & Cat5/BNC Electronic Tester Combo

Don't buy JUST a crimper, because if for some reason one of the conductors did not quite get crimped right, the ELECTRONIC TESTER can pinpoint EXACTLY which one is the culprit.  Without the tester you'd spend hours trying to figure it out!  (trust me, I did just that, until I got a tester myself!)
 

The crimper tool is designed to accurately crimp RJ-45 connectors on to standard 8 conductor Cat1 through Cat5-e cables.  Made of steel (not plastic like many of the cheaper ones!), this tool is made to last for years.  Even the crimp hammer is all hardened steel.  Features a sturdy cable-cutter and a precise cable stripper to ensure the correct stripping length, no more guessing!

The electronic tester features solid state electronics and is able to check both cables with RJ 45 and BNC connectors.  It consists of a local and a remote unit so the 2 ends of the cable do not need to be close by!  Very handy when you're testing long cable runs (up to 1,000 ft!).  LEDs on both units tell you if all pairs are connected correctly and if not, WHICH pairs are wrong.  With BNC connectors it also checks continuity of coaxial cable.  Runs on a single 9V battery (sorry, not included!).

• Test for correct polarity and shows which, if any, pairs are reversed

• Checks both RJ45 and BNC connectors, with network cable of type Coax, Cat1, Cat2, Cat3, Cat4, Cat5 and Cat5e

I used both a tester and a crimper when I ran cat-5 wiring myself in my guesthouse last spring and it was a lifesaver!  (I tried to do it without a tester first and learned the hard way)
