Unlike the manuals that come with most these type devices, the extensive, 41-page manual for this one is very detailed, full of pictures showing you exactly how to install! It also explains in-depth how wireless networking works and how to enable security. If despite the detailed manual you feel you still need tech support... just call or email and I am ready to help. Check around, NO other seller will do that for a $20 item! Unlike any seller that I know of, I have actual experience installing, using and supporting the items I sell. Not only is this wifi adapter small, it's stylish as well. Comes with a cradle to position it just the way you need it on your desk, and an adjustable USB-A to mini USB adapter if you want to attach it directly to your computer. Works with both laptops and desktops! Automatically adjusts speed for optimum signal quality: 11 Mbps, 5.5 Mbps, 2 Mbps, 1 Mbps with Auto FallBack. Because of its proprietary network routing algorithm, this adapter is able to provide full 11mbps throughput where other adapters have to fall back to a lower speed because of network packet collisions. Don't be fooled by other adapters that claim to speed your data along at 54 or even 108mbps. Think of the network connection coming in to your home. If it's DSL you're limited to about 3mbps (1.5mpbs if you're unlucky!) and if you have cable, you'll get maybe 8mbps if none of your neighbors are home. In any case, the bottleneck in a home network is the incoming connection. You'll NEVER move data faster than the slowest link in your network, which is your incoming signal! Features:
